Everything we do requires energy – be it thought, emotion, movement, or the instinctive functions of the body. Our every psychic act uses up energy.

We relate to life through the five senses; impressions come into to the brain through them. Psychic energy registers what comes in through the senses, giving us the power of registration and focusing attention.

Take being on an extended holiday involving a lot of site-seeing, for instance. At a certain point although we are seeing everything, nothing seems to register. This is because we have used up all our psychic energy. Yogic texts say that our main source of energy is the food we eat. Food gives us the energies of magnetism, motor electricity, reflex electricity, and sex. But food cannot give psychic energy, which is only replenished in sleep. Hence, so much importance is given to optimal amount and good quality of sleep.

We have a certain quantity of this psychic energy when we wake up in the morning; we must learn to use this judiciously. This is stored in a large centre (or reservoir) which in turn is connected to two smaller centres. Suppose, we are reading a very interesting book, we can observe that after about forty-five minutes of reading, we feel a little tired and are not able to absorb the true meaning. This indicates that one of the smaller centres is empty. It takes a few minutes for us to connect to the other centre which is full. The best thing would be to walk a little.

Once we connect to another centre, we feel a rush of energy and can again read for another forty-five minutes. Perhaps, the reason why schools have study periods of forty-five minutes; it is the optimal period one can pay attention for. Once the other centre is empty too, we reconnect to the first centre, which by then has collected energy from the large reservoir. If we have not given it enough time to refill completely, we feel tired and debilitated sooner than later. Most of us are so overloaded with mental work that we overwork these energy centres, leading to exhaustion and mental breakdown.

Yoga prescribes practices which help to refill this psychic energy very fast, but that’s for another time.

Originally printed by the dalymail.co.uk, this article discusses the question – do we all have psychic abilities? Are thought premonitions and telepathy more common than we think?

Like many mothers who feared for their family’s safety during World War II, Mona Miller was evacuated from London to the peaceful seaside town of Babbacombe in Devon.

It seemed like a wise precaution but, shortly after her arrival there with her young children, Mrs Miller became increasingly uneasy.
‘I had a feeling that I must leave Devon and return home,’ she told me.

‘At first I dismissed the idea; why leave when I was so happy and contented despite the war going on around me?

‘But the feeling increased. The walls of my room seemed to speak to me: “Go home to London.” I resisted the call for about four months then, one day, like a flash of light, I knew we must leave.

‘On a Saturday in late 1942, we travelled back to London and a few days later I received a letter from a friend in Devon.

‘“Thank God you took the children on Saturday,” she wrote. “Early Sunday morning, Jerry dropped three bombs and one fell on the house where you were living, demolishing it, and killing all the neighbours on either side.”’

Mrs Miller was far from the only person to experience such forebodings during the war.

Three years later, in the spring of 1945, U.S. serviceman Charles Bernuth took part in the invasion of Germany and, shortly after crossing the Rhine, found himself driving along the autobahn one night with two officers.

He described how a ‘still, small voice’ within him told him there was something wrong with the road ahead.

‘I stopped, amid the groans and jeers of the other two. I started walking along the road.

‘About 50 yards from where I had left the jeep, I found out what was wrong.

‘We were about to go over a bridge — only the bridge wasn’t there. It had been blown up and there was a sheer drop of about 75ft.’

Both Mrs Miller and Charles Bernuth had experienced presentiments — feelings that something was going to happen without knowing what it would be.
These differ from premonitions, where the person involved has an insight into what lies ahead, as when 16-year-old Carole Davies visited a London amusement arcade during the Seventies.

‘While standing looking out into the night, I had a sense of danger,’ she recalled.

‘Then I saw what looked like a picture in front of me showing people on the floor with tiles and metal girders on them. I realised that this was to happen here. I began to shout at people to get out. No one listened.’

Together with her friends, Carole hurried out and went to a nearby cafe.

As they sat inside, they heard sirens in the street outside. A weakness in the arcade building’s structure had brought its roof and walls crashing down on those within.

‘We all ran down the road to see what had happened,’ Carole remembered.

‘It was just as I had seen. A man I had shouted at was being pulled from under the debris.’

Like Mona Miller and Charles Bernuth before her, Carole was convinced she owed her life to her mysterious sixth sense, a notion which you might expect a scientist of my background to dismiss out of hand.

I am a biologist who has studied, researched and taught at both Cambridge and Harvard, and held senior academic posts on both sides of the Atlantic.

Yet I’ve long believed that presentiments, premonitions and other psychic phenomena such as telepathy should be taken more seriously by my scientific colleagues.

My fascination with this subject began during the Sixties when I was a graduate student in the biochemistry department at Cambridge University.

This was not long after the South African writer Laurens van der Post had published his accounts of life with the Bushmen of the Kalahari desert.

Like most traditional societies, theirs was one in which telepathy was not only taken for granted, but put to practical use, as van der Post saw when his hosts hunted down and killed an eland antelope many miles from camp.

As they were driving back in a Land Rover laden with meat, he asked one of the Bushmen how those back at camp would react when they learned of this success.

‘They already know — we Bushmen have a wire here,’ he replied, tapping his chest. ‘It brings us news.’

He was comparing their method of communication with the white man’s telegram or ‘wire’.

Sure enough, when they approached the camp, the people were singing the ‘Eland Song’ and preparing to give the hunters the greatest of welcomes.

Many other travellers in Africa have reported that people seemed to know when loved ones were coming home.
The same would occur in rural Norway, where the inhabitants developed a special word — vardoger — for the anticipation of arrivals.

Similarly, accounts I read of the ‘second sight’ of some inhabitants of the Scottish Highlands included visions of arrivals before the person in question appeared.

But none of this convinced me, converted as I was to the dogma of ‘materialism’ which has dominated scientific thought since the late 19th century, and still does so today.

According to materialists, science will eventually explain everything in terms of physics and chemistry.
And anything that cannot be thus explained can be dismissed as illusory.

Educated in this tradition, I adopted the standard dismissive attitude when the subject of telepathy came up in the laboratory tearoom one day.

I was gently taken to task by Sir Rudolph Peters, one of the doyens of British biochemistry. He was a kindly man with twinkly eyes and more curiosity than most people half his age.

He told me of an ophthalmologist friend who had a severely disabled and mentally retarded young boy as a patient.
Although he was almost blind, he seemed able to read the letters on the optician’s chart very well, but only when his mother was looking at them.

The only explanation appeared to be some form of telepathic communication between the two, and in 1968 Sir Rudolph conducted an experiment in which the boy correctly guessed many of the written numbers or words shown to his mother, even though they were sitting on either side of a screen which prevented him from picking up any visual or auditory cues.

Sir Rudolph concluded that this telepathy had developed to an unusual degree because of the boy’s extreme needs and his mother’s desire to help him.

But, as I discovered, even laboratory experiments involving strangers had produced results which, if less marked, were still compelling.

For example, the years between 1880 and 1939 saw something of a boom in early psychical research, with the publication of more than 186 studies involving trials in which subjects guessed which randomly selected cards a ‘sender’ was looking at.

When the four million individual results were combined in a statistical procedure called meta-analysis, the overall results were hugely significant because they were considerably more accurate than would have been expected from random chance.

Later experiments during the Seventies involved subjects sleeping in a soundproofed laboratory while a ‘sender’ in another room, and in some cases another building, opened a sealed package containing a randomly selected picture and concentrated on it, trying to influence the subject’s dream.

Sometimes the thought transference was very clear: one subject described having dreamed about buying tickets for a prize fight while the sender was looking at a picture of a boxing match.

Occasionally, it was more symbolic, as when the subject dreamed of a dead rat in a cigar box while the sender was looking at a picture of a dead gangster in a coffin. But in 450 such trials the overall results were very significantly above the chance level.

My research has included more than 4,000 cases of psychic phenomena. Many, like Mona Miller’s near-miss in the Blitz, involve mothers.

Hundreds told me that during the months they were breastfeeding, they’d know when their baby needed them, even from miles away, because they began secreting breast milk.

With the help of a midwife, I studied nine nursing mothers in North London during a two-month period, and found that their unexpected ‘let-downs’ of milk when they were separated from their babies very often coincided with their infants experiencing distress.

The odds against this occurring by chance as often as it did were a billion to one, and this telepathic connection makes good evolutionary sense.

Mothers who could tell at a distance when their babies were unhappy would tend to have babies that survived better than those of insensitive mothers.

Such connections often seem to continue even when the children have grown up, with many stories on my database concerning mothers who had an urge to get in touch with their children when they could not have known by any conventional means that they were in trouble.

Many would do so by telephone, the method of communication most commonly mentioned in reports of telepathic experiences in general.

Many people told me they had thought of someone for no apparent reason, and then that person rang in a way that seemed uncanny. Or they knew who was calling when the phone rang, even before they picked up the receiver.

I designed an experiment to test this, a simplified version of which you can try through my website.

This involved asking subjects for the names and phone numbers of four friends or family members before placing them alone in a room with a landline telephone with no caller ID.

I then selected one of the four callers at random and asked them to phone the subject, who had to say who was on the line before answering.

By guessing at random, subjects would have been right about one time in four, or 25 per cent.

In fact, the average hit rate was 45 per cent, very significantly above the level of chance, and these results have been replicated independently at universities in Germany and Holland.

In attempting to explain such phenomena, we need to look far beyond the traditional scientific view that everything is essentially material or physical, including the human mind.

That materialist approach was summed up by Francis Crick, who in 1962 shared a Nobel Prize for the discovery of the structure of DNA.

‘You, your joys and your sorrows, your memories and your ambitions, your sense of personal identity and free will, are in fact no more than the behaviour of a vast assembly of nerve cells and their associated molecules,’ he wrote.

Crick spoke for the scientific mainstream, as did influential neuroscientist Susan Greenfield when she described seeing an exposed brain in an operating theatre.

‘This is all there was to (the patient) Sarah, or indeed to any of us,’ she reflected in a paper published in 2000.

‘We are but sludgy brains and somehow a character and mind are generated in this soupy mess.’

Yet this idea that our minds are fixed physically inside our heads, and that consciousness is nothing but a by-product of the activity of the brain, runs contrary to our everyday experience.

When we look around us, the images of the things we see are outside us, not in our heads. The feelings in my fingers are in my fingers, not in my head.

The human intuitions I have described fit better with the ‘field theory’ of minds.

We are used to the fact that fields exist both within and outside material objects such as magnets and mobile phones, and there is reason to believe that our minds have similar fields which have their roots within our brains, but also extend beyond them.

Extraordinary though this sounds, it’s supported by studies of another remarkable psychic phenomenon — the sense of being stared at.

Most people have felt someone looking at them from behind, turned around and met the person’s eyes.
And most people have experienced the converse: making someone turn around by staring at them.

In extensive surveys in Europe and North America, between 70 and 97 per cent of adults and children reported such experiences.

In a series of interviews with police officers, surveillance personnel and soldiers, I discovered most felt that some people seemed to know they were being observed, even though the watchers were well hidden.

‘A lot of times the crook will just get a feeling that things aren’t right,’ I was told by one narcotics officer.

‘We often have someone look right in our direction even though he can’t see us. A lot of times we’re inside a vehicle.’

Surprisingly, laboratory tests have shown that the sense of being stared at works even when people are looked at on screens, rather than directly.

Our emotional response can be measured by the activity of our sweat glands and this increases in many subjects being watched on CCTV, even though they are unaware of their response.

All this suggests that, whether through direct staring or CCTV, we are capable of ‘touching’ each other with our sight — further evidence that our minds are not confined to the inside of our brains.

With telepathic communication, it seems that these fields somehow interact at a distance, picking up feelings, needs or thoughts across space.

As for presentiments and premonitions, these imply links across time, as we tune into our future mental states.

That such links are real was suggested by a series of experiments in the U.S. and Holland over the past 20 years.

These measured responses to a series of noxious smells, mild electric shocks, emotive words and provocative photographs, interspersed with calming stimuli which had no physiological effect on subjects at all.

No one, not even the experimenters, knew what kind of stimuli the computer involved would produce next, but in a significant number of cases the subjects reacted to the unpleasant stimuli some three or four seconds in advance, somehow connecting with their future selves who would be experiencing the stimuli for real.

These findings are fascinating in themselves but, as I will explain in Monday’s Mail, psychic phenomena are not restricted to human beings.

There are amazing stories of telepathy and premonitions of disaster in many other species, including pet dogs.

As for exactly how such phenomena operate, it may be years before we understand them, but an important first step is for scientists to acknowledge that they exist, and that the minds of both animals and humans interact in as yet unexplained ways.

Recently reported by nzherald.co.nz, a stunning survey shows that over half of all Kiwi’s believe in Psychic’s. Almost just as sensational the survey also showed that one-third of New Zealanders believe in UFO visitation to earth.

More than half of New Zealanders believe some people have psychic powers, a recent survey shows.

Meanwhile a third of Kiwis believe earth has been visited by UFOs from other planets and a quarter believe astrology can predict people’s futures.

These are the findings of an online UMR Research poll of 1000 New Zealanders which looked at what Kiwis believe in.

The poll, conducted between September 21 and 28, found 55 percent of Kiwis believe some people have psychic powers such as ESP, with women (67 per cent), over 60 year olds (63 per cent) and Maori (60 per cent) particularly likely to believe that this is true.

However, the finding’s for belief in Astrology Predictions were less sensational.

Only 24 per cent think astrology can be used to predict people’s futures.

By Kathy Antonioti

During the Christmas season, even an infrequent guest will notice a striking difference in the atmosphere at the Perkins Stone Mansion, home to the Summit County Historical Society.

In October, visitors flock to the mansion with the hopes of catching a glimpse of the spirits of three generations of Perkins family members who lived there. The mansion rarely disappoints guests who attend ghost tours and paranormal pizza parties as the three-story home embraces its eerie reputation, exuding an unsettled feeling of forboding. Photos taken by guests make claims of the presence of otherworldly spirits difficult to dismiss.

“Clearly, these stories of oral history and folklore have been passed down through generations. They are now being accepted in society. It’s a good way to explain the history and we invite people to experience the house for themselves,” said historical society Director Leianne Neff Heppner.

By mid-November, after volunteers have dressed the house in its Christmas finery, those same visitors experience a warmth in the mansion, as if being folded in a loving embrace.

It could be the subdued lights shining from the Christmas tree in the parlor, or it could just be the early darkness that seems to make the mansion feel cozier. People take home from their visits what they will, said Heppner, who tries to share the home’s history in different ways. “I want to share the stories of the house and I want to tell the stories of the home,” she said. I believe there are a lot of things in that house, but it is the first one I’ve worked in that I haven’t been scared.”

The mansion, completed in 1837, was built by Col. Simon Perkins, son of Akron founder Gen. Simon Perkins, for his wife, Grace Tod Perkins and their 11 children. The home is one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in Ohio, Heppner said.

In the past three years, the historical society has tried some innovative ways to interest people in learning about the area’s history and the contributions made by the family. Fewer than 2 percent of the society’s membership of 400-500 people attend its programs, she said.

“History is not really popular with the general public. We need to find other ways to interest them,” she said.

The paranormal activities in October and outreach programs for children and adults bring people to the mansion who have never before visited. Plans for a murder mystery, being written by interns and graduate students Rebecca Kirschbaum of Cleveland State University and Stephanie Bingham of Kent State, are under way.

With different types of programming, the society is reaching a new group of people.

“We are attracting a different population that traditionally wouldn’t come, and we have found those people keep coming back,” Heppner said.

Until 2008, the mansion was shown only as a museum, but hints of paranormal activity led the historical society to open its doors for special events related to Halloween. During a 2006 fundraiser for the Junior League of Akron, several room designers saw and heard things that could not be easily explained.

Eventually, the home’s reputation as a source of spiritual energy found its way to Laura Lyn of Cuyahoga Falls, who describes herself as a trance channeler and psychic medium.

When Heppner and Lyn connected a few years ago, ideas for using the home in different ways flowed like the energy that fills the mansion. They embarked on a partnership of sorts to foster events for people in search of answers and guidance from a different realm.

Lyn, who owns the Angel Rays Enrichment Center in Cuyahoga Falls, conducts programs at the mansion called Realm to Realm that are more than just fundraisers for the society, Heppner said.

“Sincere is the best word to describe her,” Heppner said of Lyn. “She is a normal person who has an ability that I don’t have.”

During a recent Realm to Realm session, Lyn tried to explain why the house projected a different kind of energy in October than it did in November.

“Around Thanksgiving and Christmas, the house is very welcoming because even though there was so much turmoil here in the past … there was great love here,” Lyn explained to 11 people who sat around the mansion’s dining room table.

Lyn, who offers psychic development and spiritual classes and angel readings, feels and sees the energy each guest projects, called an aura, and explains how that energy affects him or her. She searches for spirit guides and loved ones who have passed and relays their messages.

“I feel as if I have a foot in each realm,” she said during a recent interview.

Lyn explains to participants that each person has personal guides and angels as she reads and relays their suggestions on the best paths to follow in life.

“It’s going to come through as puzzle pieces,” Lyn told the group, which included police officers Tom Robson and Michelle Duke, paranormal investigators from Zanesville.

Jill Earvin, Jane Uber and Judith Abood, sisters from Cuyahoga Falls, didn’t seem surprised when Lyn told them their mother was in the room and very skeptical of the proceedings.

“She’s not disapproving. She’s curious and wants to know what’s going on,” Lyn said. The women, who grew up on Akron’s North Hill, got their spiritual side from their grandmother, they said.

“I smell cigarette smoke,” Duke interrupted just before Uber started coughing and had to leave the table.

“Mom was a smoker,” Abood explained.

Jill Urbank, also of Cuyahoga Falls, said she was looking for a connection with her late husband on the first anniversary of his death. Lyn told her that although her husband wasn’t there, a spirit guide was standing near her.

“He’s an unconditional friend who is always going to be with you all of your life. He won’t let anything happen to you,” she said.

As Lyn proceeded from one person to the next, she said she was reluctant to tell Steve Morgan, 27, of Akron, that he had a hitchhiking spirit connected to him who had died when he was 25 years old.

“You aren’t going to believe this,” she told Morgan. “The spirit connected with you at a sports arena. He is staying with you because he enjoys the ride.”

She said the man, who she named as Todd Saxton, died in a traffic accident.

“Never drink and drive,” Lyn warned Morgan as the lights in the chandelier dimmed and flickered.

After the event, Morgan admitted he had some experience with drinking and driving and was taking Lyn’s warning seriously. Would he drink and drive again?

“Hell, no,” Morgan said.

Popular Psychic Medium Lisa Williams latest book “The Survival of the Soul” is now available for sale through online book sellers.

Many of us have questions about the passage of life and often wonder what happens when we die. In this amazingly insightful book by medium/clairvoyant Lisa Williams, evidence of the afterlife is explored. Through various channels such as meditation, psychic readings, communication with her Spirit Guide, and a personal near-death experience, Lisa delves into the journey of the soul, discusses the different stages of the afterlife, and reveals what life is really like on the other side.

This book addresses the myriad questions many of us have surrounding this subject, especially if we’ve gone through the painful experience of having lost loved ones. Lisa provides a reassuring glimpse into this fascinating topic by exploring the pathway to the afterlife and then to reincarnation; with the realization that death is not final, but rather a transition into the world beyond—a place that should be honored, not feared.

About Psychic Medium & Author Lisa Williams:

Lisa Williams has been aware of her psychic abilities since the age of seven, it wasn’t until her grandmother’s death in 1996 that Lisa fully embraced her “second sight.” Frances Glazebrook, Lisa’s grandmother, had been a renowned psychic medium, reading for politicians, royalty, pop bands and businessmen in her native England. She was also a “secret weapon” in the arsenal of many American CEOs.

“When I was 19,” Williams remembers, “my grandmother told me I would continue her work when she passed on.” Over the next few years, Lisa found herself telling total strangers about their lives and what was in store for them. She saw their family members and friends who were on “the other side” and brought comfort to the living by transmitting messages. She also was helping with police investigations.

Blessed with a fine voice, Williams had been lead vocalist with a band and a “Red Coat” entertainer at the famous English vacation camp Butlins. As a young single mother, she supported herself with a variety of office jobs and sales positions. It wasn’t until her extensive waiting list of people asking for private consultations was six months long that she felt she could devote herself full-time to her spiritual calling. She continued to develop her gifts, which also include Reiki and crystal healing. Like her grandmother before her, Lisa also began to read for senio

Do Your Dreams Have A Hidden Meaning? Being a psychic-medium, I am always trying to connect with my intuition and divine knowledge.

By Emily S.

Being a psychic-medium, I am always trying to connect with my intuition and divine knowledge. Every night when I go to sleep, I communicate to the universe or God. Its my time to reflect and also meditate. I also ask for messages in my dreams for anyone or for myself. And usually, I wake up the next morning with all of these dreams, wondering “wait, what does that mean?’.

My dreaming state is such a fascinating place for me to be and experience that I often look forward to the end of the day when I can rest and see what happens.

I found in my studies and research that our dreams are really left up to us to interpret. There is so much symbolism in a dream that it usually makes a connection to something in our actual reality.

For example, you may have a dream of seeing an actress from a movie or someone dressed in an exotic costume and when you wake up, you may think of a close friend or relative who is an actress or works in the entertainment industry. Although if I were to have a dream of something like that, it may make me think of something from my childhood or a past memory.

So in essence, the things we see in our dreams are strictly related to us in some way. What you have to do is just ask yourself, what does this make you think of in your life? Once you interpret all the different meanings, try to piece it together for a bigger message.

I often do this every day when I dream about something. Sometimes my dreams are a clean and direct message to someone or to me, and sometimes I really have to break it down and understand it.

Dreams may be something from our unconscious coming up. They can also be a way for us to heal or face something painful that we may not otherwise in our waking state. I also have found that sometimes dreams can be very psychic or our intuition kicking in. For example, a few months ago I had a dream about a couple I knew breaking up. In the dream I saw their argument and the reasons why they were breaking up. A few days later, I found out the couple had broken up around the same time I had the dream.

So essentially our dreams can have a variety of meanings, its up to you to decide and feel out intuitively what the dream means to you.

My husband Nick was lying on the sofa, groaning and calling for extra-strength Nurofen. He’d had a bad fall ten years earlier, in his gap year, and ever since had suffered from intermittent sciatica.

The discs in his lower vertebrae were crushed in the accident, and an operation had failed to provide a cure. Hot dry summers helped, but as soon as the weather got damp and cold, his back would go into painful spasms.

Every winter I got used to taking on the role of porter and furniture-mover until the inflammation calmed down. But this could take weeks, and he never knew when the pain would strike.

So, as winter arrived and Nick lay face downwards yet again, I told him he had to find something or someone to help him. My father said he’d just met a marvellous young healer called Jeff: perhaps he could do something?

Nick scoffed and rolled his eyes, but I persisted. I had no idea whether healing would help, but Nick couldn’t pop painkillers for ever.

My husband didn’t give any credence to complementary therapies of any sort in those days, but with much nagging from me, he’d reluctantly hauled himself off to see an osteopath. But all the clicking and cracking hadn’t made a whit of difference. So how could some chap laying hands on him possibly be more effective?

Frankly I wasn’t optimistic either, but he had nothing to lose. Finally he relented, with the tetchy proviso that it would, of course, be a complete waste of time. After all, how could faith healing work on him when he didn’t even believe in it?

His scepticism was not allayed when Jeff arrived. He was an unprepossessing, limp young man in a cagoule — and he was an hour late. He’d wandered around London getting lost, and seemed amazed that he’d found our house at all, which did little to inspire our confidence.

Alternative therapy: Georgia says if she felt run down, an appointment with a reflexologist, acupuncturist or masseur was often the best remedy (Posed by models)

As I watched him hold up his hands about six inches away from the operation scar, even I was doubtful: it seemed pretty obvious that nothing at all was going to happen.

But almost immediately Nick yelped: ‘What is that? What are you using? It feels like a three-bar electric fire.’ He found it almost impossible to believe that Jeff wasn’t touching him at all.

After ten minutes, Jeff said the treatment was finished.

And, amazingly, that was the end of Nick’s back pain. Twenty-two years later, he still doesn’t have any trouble with it.

I do not consider myself a credulous person. I’m a middle-aged mum to four children, and my work as a journalist and author demands a degree of enquiring scepticism. But seeing the miraculous effect of Jeff’s treatment on Nick, and its enduring results, sowed a seed in my mind.

Over the years I’d tried all sorts of alternative therapists for myself. My GP is great, and of course I’ll take antibiotics if I need them; but I found that if I was feeling tired or run down, an appointment with a reflexologist, acupuncturist or masseur was often enough to sort me out.

I noticed that many of these practitioners also had healing hands. I could often feel a warmth or a sort of tingling through their palms, which somehow seemed to boost my energy and calm my overactive brain.

I wanted to know where this mysterious energy came from, and how it made me feel better — so I asked the therapists a multitude of questions.

Accurate Psychic Readings, Talk to Live Psychics, Answers on Love, Money, etc. Click Here or Call 800-966-2294

Some said, enigmatically, that it was ‘love and light’. Others talked about brainwaves and electrostatic energy. Whatever this energy was, it was working, and I was intrigued.

I started to read books about healing. Part of me was still sceptical because I couldn’t physically see any of this energy. But as a client, I trusted that whatever they were tapping into worked on me.

I imagined that Jeff and Co must have been born with some kind of special gift, but they said that we are all healers in different ways. Anyone who has rocked a crying baby, kissed a child’s bruise, or supported a friend knows that even kindness and good intentions can make someone feel better.

Surprisingly, they said that I could be a healer too; that I had an energy, a gift for it.

Eventually, I took the plunge and decided to see if this could possibly be true. After experimenting with various workshops, I signed up for a two-year professional course at the College of Psychic Studies in South Kensington, London.

Even then I had misgivings. I was worried that other people in my group might be odd and alternative; a rag-bag of crystal-ball gazers and hippies. I was relieved that they turned out to be lovely, utterly normal people: there was a tax accountant, an office administrator, a couple of grandmothers; even Jeffrey Archer’s butler. And all of them seemed genuinely sincere about doing whatever they could to help people.

‘I was worried that other people in my group might be odd and alternative; a rag-bag of crystal-ball gazers and hippies’

We learned that if healers rely solely on their own energy and kindness, they soon get exhausted. So, in simple terms, we were taught to be sort of human hosepipes, channelling energy from the universe to wherever our clients needed it.

It seemed strange at first, following the teacher’s instructions and trusting that there was light flowing in through the top of my head then out through my hands; but I suppressed my doubts and persevered.

After a while, I could definitely feel heat and energy emanating from my palms. Better still, I discovered that I was extremely sensitive. Working on people, I found I could often detect where the area of pain or disease was.

It’s hard to describe how I know: it feels almost as if there is a cloud of dense air surrounding the area. It transmits into a physical pain, which I feel in my stomach. So, implausible though it may sound, I can usually sense exactly where to put my healing hands.

Sometimes the results are instantaneous. My neighbour, writer Cressida Connolly, insists I have cured her aching shoulder. My father-in-law’s nagging wrist pain has never come back after a session we did one Boxing Day. But I am realistic enough to know that most changes are more subtle and take much longer.

Now that I am a fully qualified healer, with a practice in Chelsea, some of my friends find my new career path rather odd. They think — as Nick once did — that the very idea of healing is a load of old hokum.

I can understand their cynicism. We’ve all heard sorry stories about the gullible and desperate seeking cures from practitioners who turn out to be complete fraudsters.

I don’t make any extravagant claims for healing, and it doesn’t always work, but I am still amazed by the range of problems that healing can tackle. People come to me before operations or after skiing accidents, or simply because they feel tired and anxious.

My oldest client is a 77-year-old Chelsea Pensioner at the Royal Hospital, where I work as a healing volunteer. Tough old soldier that he is, he tells me every week that he doesn’t believe in healing.

‘Don’t you start asking me to think lovely thoughts either — because I won’t,’ he insists.

But he also admits he finds the sessions very nice and soothing — and he always welcomes me back. Which goes to show that even if you are a confirmed disbeliever, healing can help.

By Guest Contributor

Psychic Vampires and energy stealers are everywhere! They are your family members, your friends and they are your co-workers and YOU may even be one yourself. A more common name is a Psychic Vampire and we all know what vampires do! In this case the vampire is sucking our vital energy, depleting us and causing us to become unhealthy emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Spiritual purification and cord cutting are some tools that can keep the vampires away!

What does the term ‘Psychic Vampire’ mean anyway? A psychic vampire is a person that steals other people’s energies because they are living their life in victim consciousness and believe that everything happens ’to’ them. Living in this manner is very dis-empowering. Therefore in order for them to feel better about themselves they need to attach themselves to another person’s energy field. In order for this ‘vampire’ to attach themselves to your energy body, they form cords attaching the two of you together. When they need a boost, they unconsciously steal your energy instead of using their own! These cords are also like highways and run both ways! That means that you will also receive their energy whether it is positive or negative. If they have a headache, you may also develop a headache. It they are depressed, you may become depressed. If they are angry, you may become angry and so on. As you can see this can be very detrimental to your health. At an unconscious level, you have allowed the vampire or vampires to attach themselves to your energy body through these cords. These cords are not visible to the naked eye but they can be seen with the psychic third eye. These cords prevent you from really being the real you! It is imperative that these cords be severed and sometimes a spiritual purification is required for your well-being and also for the growth of the other person.

How do we recognize a Psychic Vampire? Some traits of the dis-empowered energy stealer are:

feels lonely or abandoned

feels they have been rejected

needs constant reassurance

never feels satisfied

doesn’t like to be alone

seeks nurturing or feels they need to be taken care of

low energy and fatigued

they have a poor me attitude

is a drama king or queen

constant talker that never allows you to speak

needs you to be their therapist or rescuer fixing their problems

he blamer making you feel guilty about things

vindictive by putting you down

a person that is unhappy a lot

tries controlling you or your life

manipulates you to get things their way

How do I know if I am being psychically attacked?

dizziness

loss of energy

muscle tension

mental confusion

headaches

chronic fatigue

sleep disturbances

irritability

depressed mood

physical illness

small diminishing aura

leaks, holes and/or tears in your aura

and a whole lot more!

I know, you are now thinking that is almost everyone alive! Unfortunately, too many people are simply not aware of their energetic bodies and how they operate. Once people start taking responsibility for creating their own lives and taking back their personal power this will not be an epidemic. (Granted other conditions also can be the cause of these symptoms besides being psychically attacked.) Those that psychically attack others either do this consciously or subconsciously. Either way it is detrimental to your health, in all areas of your energetic being, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

How do I protect myself from this? First you need to become aware of which individuals deplete your energy and limit your contact with them. But simply not being in their physical presence does not stop them from draining you! Know that not all people attacking you are people that you know either! Secondly, you need to release all the negative emotions that you carry within yourself. If you hold anger, hurt, jealousy etc. inside your being, it is like you are shackled to a ball and chain, holding you hostage with your own creation! Releasing of all negative emotions brings freedom as fear is the robber of peace. Why must I do this? Because any disharmony in our four energetic bodies will cause us to be vulnerable, so that darkness and confusion can enter. Being aware of this is empowering. I stress this, do not go into fear now that you are aware of this. Simply take the steps to protect yourself. Darkness consists of anything that is of a lower/heavier vibration such as anger, fear, depression, jealousy, hatred etc. When angry thoughts are directed at you, they can penetrate your weak and vulnerable areas like arrows. What happens is they take away your clarity and fill you with confusion and drain your energy. Following are some tools to empower yourself from Psychic Vampires.

Here is a simple cord cutting exercise. Cord cutting should be done on a daily basis and much more often when we are going through a stressful period in our life. These cords should be cut from our loved ones as well. No cord attached to anyone or thing is good!

Take some deep cleansing breaths. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Call upon Arch Angel Michael and ask him for his assistance in cutting all cords that are attached to your being. Visualize Michael swirling his sword around your entire being severing all the cords. Know that no cord can remain intact and they are returning to where they came from. When you feel Michael has completed this process, thank him for his assistance. It is done. Easy as that!

Here are some physical steps for purification.

Burn all relevant photographs or objects holding memories of the person, place or situation.

Write down all feelings of frustration, anger, hurt, fear, etc., and burn the paper, flush it down the toilet or bury it. Please don’t give it to the person! Repeat this step as often as necessary.

Clear all the clutter from every room of your home. Rule of thumb. If you haven’t used in 6 months it’s not likely you will! Get rid of it.

Clean and if necessary redecorate your home. Bringing nature indoors is wonderful energy!

Check there are no books in your bookshelves or pictures on your walls that have negative energy. Surround yourself with high vibrational objects, spiritual books, spiritual pictures, plants, fresh flowers etc.

Sprinkle holy water in all rooms starting at the center spiraling outwards.

Smudge with sage, cedar and sweetgrass and invoke the help of God, the Ascended Masters, the Great White Brother and Sisterhood, the Archangels and Angels, your Higherself and I AM Presence.

Play sacred music and sing, chant OM or say The Lord’s Prayer.

Cleanse and purify your crystals and dedicate them to the Light.

Light candles and use high vibrational pure essential oils.

You now have the tools and knowledge to take back your personal power. I invite you to empower yourself today!

By Guest Contributor

Does a universal spiritual healing energy exist that can seemingly create miracles in your life? Can this energy accelerate your spiritual enlightenment? Can this energy also heal your body and mind?

Many cultures think there is. Let’s take an imaginary vacation around the world and explore this energy.
Imagine traveling to the big island of Hawaii. You investigate an active volcano and witness scientists placing steel rods into the lava.

The steel rods melt. However, much to your astonishment there is a woman walking through the lava unharmed.

Of course you want an answer to this mystery so you approach the scientists to ask them why. How can steel melt in the lava, yet the woman’s feet are totally protected?

The scientists look at you and shrug their shoulders. It’s an anomaly,” they explain. This answer doesn’t help you very much. So you ask the woman how she does it.

She explains that she is a Kahuna and that she believes in a universal spiritual healing energy known to her as Manna.

She believes this energy spiritually benefits her and it can also protect her from the lava. She further counsels you that it can benefit you as well but only if you believe in it.

Let’s continue our mental vacation and travel to Tibet in the winter. You are met by a Sherpa guide. Imagine you are wearing a parka and but are still cold. You travel to a location where you find several monks nearly naked, sitting upon large blocks of ice.

These monks are being filmed and to your surprise they are melting the ice! Of course your rational mind demands an explanation. You turn to the scientists and the camera crew that is filming this event.

The scientist proclaims, It’s an anomaly.” Again the explanation doesn’t give you any information. You approach the monks with your Sherpa Guide. You learn that the monks believe in a universal spiritual healing energy which they call Tumho.

They believe this energy will benefit their spiritual enlightenment and it can be used in spiritual healing. They further believe that it protects them from the cold. They wisely counsel you that this energy can work for you too, if you believe in it.

Let’s continue our investigation and travel to China. Much like Bill Moyers discovered n the 1980′s we find a small elderly man in his 80′s. He is a Tai Chi master and we learn that no one can budge him from his spot.

When we ask the scientists how this is possible, they proclaim, “It’s an anomaly.” Wanting more understanding, you approach the Tai Chi master and learn that he believes in a universal spiritual healing energy known as the Chi.

He believes this energy accelerates his spiritual evolution and it is also a healing energy. He further explains to you that if you believe in this energy it can work for you too.

The next leg of our journey takes us to India where we meet a spiritual yogi, perhaps the supreme yogi, Sri Babaji, the Immortal One. We speak with this young man, a spiritual giant in India, who never ages and wonder about his secret.

He tells us he believes in a universal spiritual healing energy known as Prana. He believes that this energy is most beneficial for spiritual enlightenment and it keeps his body youthful.

He further believes that this energy can be literally brought into one’s life with an intention. Babaji says that this energy can work for you, if you believe in it.

For the last part of our vacation, we journey to France, to Lourdes. While visiting the sacred healing area, we are faced with numerous miracles that science can only explain as an anomaly.

A man riddled with tumors the size of lemons bathes in the water and emerges totally free from them. Crippled women told by medicine they would never walk again bathe in the waters and walk again.

When you ask the nuns what is happening, they proclaim, “We believe in a universal spiritual healing energy we call the Holy Spirit.” They believe this energy furthers spiritual understanding, creating healing miracles in the body and mind.

They believe this energy will work for you as well, if you believe in it.

In our travels we’ve discovered a universal spiritual healing energy known as Manna, Tumho, Chi, Prana or Holy Spirit. It appears that this energy becomes available to believers.

What about you? Are you ready to believe and to receive the benefits of a universal spiritual healing energy? Do you want to feel more connected to a sacred energy that will further your spiritual enlightenment and assist in healing if needed?

If you are ready for the transformation from non-believer into believer, then take a tip from a successful pharmacist of the 1800′s.

His name was Emile Coue and most recognized through his affirmation, “Every day in every way I am getting better and better.”

Coue believed in the effects of his pharmaceuticals, but also believed that the mind was able to affect and even accelerate the action of these medications.

By consciously directing one’s thoughts, he observed that his patients could cure themselves more efficiently by replacing their thought of illness with a new thought of cure.

Coue believed that repeating words or images enough times causes the subconscious to absorb them. The cures were the result of using imagination or positive autosuggestion to the exclusion of one’s own, often negative thoughts.

Let’s use this idea to attune you to the universal spiritual healing energy. Start with the idea that you need to believe in the energy. Replace your thoughts of non-belief with thoughts of belief.

What is a belief? It is a thought held with passion. Just as a yogi consciously believes he can inhale this sacred energy, cultivate the belief within you that you too can breathe in and absorb this energy.
Place your body in a comfortable position.

When yogis want to relax and meditate, they lie down, allowing their shoulders to sink to the earth. They also focus their attention on the middle of their foreheads.

Next, they take a few cleansing breaths to relax their minds and have the right attitude. A cleansing breath is breathing through your nose and exhaling out your mouth while making an audible “aaaaaaahhh” sound.

While doing this, try to imagine you are sinking into a tub of warm, soothing water.

Now prepare your mind with some thoughts. Say the following affirmation aloud three times with PASSION:

“My body and mind are about to receive the universal spiritual healing energy.”

Pause after each repetition and believe this is about to happen. Believe this is the case.

Repeat this affirmation three times:

“My body and mind are now receiving the universal spiritual healing energy.”

Again, after each repetition, pause and feel it. Anticipate and expect it to happen.

Now for the final step with the affirmations, repeat three times:

“My body and mind are completely receiving the universal spiritual healing energy.”

Pause and feel that you are receiving and absorbing this sacred healing energy.

If you practice this affirmation every day, you will find that your ability to receive this sacred energy increases. You are learning to receive and absorb this energy. It doesn’t matter if you call this energy the Holy Spirit, tumho, prana, manna, chi or the power of thought.

The greatest discovery in human history was the discovery of mind. Your thoughts can draw this energy into your life and create surprising changes.

This energy exists if you believe in it. It won’t force itself upon you, but you can choose to bring it into your life. You have the power of choice. Your moment of power is always in the present. It’s your choice.

You now have the power to become a believer and a receiver of this spiritual universal healing energy.

By Guest Contributor

The recapitulation of life force is the body of work, which restores or recapitulates lost life force. Soul Retrieval is one of the most well-known and effective practices to this end.

To understand how recapitulation practices work, we need to look at the multidimensional nature of reality and move away from a linear sequential perspective. From this expanded perspective, ‘anything which has ever happened to anybody, anywhere; it is still happening somewhere’. If a traumatic event occurred for a person ten, twenty and so on years ago, for that person it is still happening, and I would venture to state that it is also in some way still influencing the person’s life.

Shamanism does not dwell on past events; there is only this vast awesome ever-moving great moment of now where there is no separate past, present, or future. It is possible for a practitioner to journey and move outside of linear time to go to the place where that energetic event is still occurring for that individual, find and bring back that person’s life force which is held in that energetic event, and when this has been carried out, then the therapeutic healing of the event and it’s consequences can truly begin.

The loss of life-force is known as soul-loss, and this can take place when we suffer a trauma, have an accident, experience strong emotional exchanges with a loved one, separation from a partner, death of a loved one, go through a pervasive period of difficult circumstances. When we undergo a severe trauma typically a part of our vital nature goes away, so that we can survive what ever is happening to us. It is a way for the body and consciousness to survive severe trauma. Problems develop when the soul part or fragment does not return. It may not want to come back, or may not be able to return due to the nature of the trauma

Joseph Campbell writes in his classic work The Masks of God ‘…sickness according to shamanic theory, can be caused either by the entrance of an alien element into the body, or by the departure of the soul from the body and its imprisonment in one of the spirit regions: above, below, or beyond the rim of the world. The Shaman’s clairvoyant vision must discover its lurking place. Then riding “on the sound of his drum”, he must sail away on the wings of trance to whatever spiritual realm may harbour the soul in question, and work swiftly his deed of rescue.’

The concept of Soul-loss , and the ceremonial retrieval of souls is found in many cultures. For example in the Tibetan Bon Shamanistic tradition, One of the most important practices performed by Tibetan shamans of the Sichen path is Soul Retrieval – Lalu (literally redeeming, or buying back the soul), and chilu, (redeeming the life-energy). These practices are widespread in the Bon tradition and also in all Tibetan Buddhist schools.

Although the terminology is different, the concept of soul-loss is a phenomenon well known to psychology. Jung recounts in his memoirs a fantasy in which his soul flew away from him, that is, the libido withdrew into the unconscious and was carrying on a secret life there. The libido representing the life-force, and the unconscious typically representing ‘the land of the dead’ .

There are a number of symptoms of soul-loss, for example, when people feel that they are observing life as an outsider, rather than engaging and being fully involved. Other common symptoms are when people feel that they are being ‘spaced’ out a lot of the time, not really here. Other symptoms that indicate possible soul loss are life-themes such as a pervasive fear, inability to trust people. I have also found that a severe depression can also be a symptom of soul loss. Chronic illness may also be a symptom of soul loss. This directly relates to Power. In the shamanic worldview, power and maintaining health go hand in hand, if the body is power-full, there is no room for illness or disease, which are often regarded as an invasive force.

In my practice I have worked with many people who had done considerable work on the original trauma, but still were stuck in this. One of the differences between Soul Retrieval and some modern Western psychological systems is that Soul Retrieval focuses on the return and integration of the lost life-force, rather than focus on the original trauma itself. In my view Soul Retrieval and therapy work very well together, the best combination being first the recapitulation of the lost life-force, followed by a therapeutic approach to support the person through the process of working with released feelings and emotional energy which can be uncomfortable and even raw for the individual. This release and subsequent experiencing of the emotions is a fundamental part of the whole healing process, and I cannot stress this enough.

This healing process leads to what I call the union of the life force, when the person can then move forward in their life without being anchored to the past, and live a life of creativity and productivity.

Life After Soul Retrieval

When the soul-fragments are returned, the memories and emotions associated with the departure of the soul fragment may also return. Although this may not always be a comfortable experience, it is a sign that healing is taking place. The experiencing of the emotions and feelings although they may have not been felt prior to the Soul Retrieval , the effects are still working, but at a deeply unconscious level i.e. a place of the not known. The person may have been experiencing a chronic and pervasive depression, yet not able to come to grips with this. Soul Retrieval works very well with other therapies. A therapist can only work with the parts of the person which are there, it is an encouraging development that people are now coming to Soul Retrieval sessions accompanied by their therapist.

The most common immediate response after a Soul Retrieval , is that the recipient feels that they are more ‘full’, that there is more of them. They may even experience the density of the body to have changed.

It is important to recognise, that each person is different and everybody will react differently after a Soul Retrieval. Some may feel heavier, bigger, happier, angry, sad, laughing, or perhaps nothing for a few weeks. My observation is that most people will experience a change within a two week period, two weeks seems to be the magic number when the person really feels the effect. It is important to trust the persons psyche completely.

The only role that the recipient has is to receive the healing. It is important that they keep open, and concentrate on staying open to receive this energy – that is their only task.

After Soul Retrieval , recipients should allow themselves space to be with the returned life-force. For some it may be quiet reflection, others may want to be in nature, in the countryside , in the parks. Nature is a wonderful healer, being in nature, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, of the Earth, will help the soul-parts to integrate with the recipient.
